MOSCOW, Dec 17 (PRIME) -- Mobile connection tariffs may rise in Russia by 8–10% at the beginning of 2022, daily Izvestiya reported on Friday, quoting industry sources.
“The mobile operators plan to hike tariffs… They may rise by 8–10% at the beginning of the new year already, two of the sources said, while another source mentioned the possibility of the prices rising by 6%,” the daily reported.
The Federal Antimonopoly Service did not received any confirmation of economic feasibility of the move yet.
Experts said the operators have to raise tariffs amid rising expenses on upgrade of their networks and subscribers’ traffic storage.
The operators either denied the rumors or did not comment on the matter.
